The Belligerence of the Ruling Class

A ruling class pair of assholes

These two look like they could be brothers … both of them disgust me …

Opinion by AAABTonto:

On the heels of Reid’s detonation of the “nuclear option” we learn that the RINOs are on the warpath, but not against Democrats. No, the problem is that damnable Tea Party—they just ruin everything!

Harry Reid on the Nuclear Option

In an article at Breitbart senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said the Tea Party movement, in his view, was “nothing but a bunch of bullies” and that he plans to “punch them in the nose.” This statement made, allegedly, during a conference call for Karl Rove’s Crossroads organization of large political donors and their advisers on Oct. 30.

According to a donor who participated in the call, McConnell personally named Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) as Tea Party conservatives he views as problematic. “The bulk of it was an attack on the Tea Party in general, Cruz in particular,” the source said in the phone interview with Breitbart News. The most memorable line was reported to have come at the end of the call.

“McConnell said the Tea Party was ‘nothing but a bunch of bullies,’” the source said. “And he said ‘you know how you deal with schoolyard bullies? You punch them in the nose and that’s what we’re going to do.’”

This really comes as no surprise to me … the upper echelons of the Republican Party have been annoyed with the Tea Party movement ever since they became a political force. It seems they don’t appreciate the Tea party meddling in “their” affairs. Never mind that the Tea Party is the very base that makes up the so called “big tent” of the GOP. The beltway boys of ruling class Republicans don’t need any help from the simple minded Christian rubes of the heartland. In the same way Obama looks down his nose at conservatives, the ruling class Republicans thinks that they are a liability—something stuck to the bottom of their erudite shoes.

Apparently the genius, Karl Rove, participated in the call as well, with American Crossroads President and CEO Steven J. Law, who also the president of sister group Crossroads GPS. According to the source, Rove “talked in a slightly gentler way, or let’s say, a more diplomatic way. But the message was pretty well the same: That if we’re going to save this thing, we have to back real Republicans.”

So citizens, who fancy themselves as Tea Party minded, cannot be “real Republicans?” Well Karl, what are the requirements one needs to meet in order to be a “real Republican?” Do we have to agree to immigration reform, and forget all about repealing Obamacare? Do we have to“go along to get along” and sacrifice all of our core beliefs for the Rove doctrine of compromise—a strategy that has failed repeatedly in the past few presidential elections?

Maybe, if Mitch McConnell and the Karl Rove crowd spent less time urinating on their Tea party base and attempted to criticize and defeat Democrats, they might enjoy some political success.

The article went on to explain that Rove spokesman Jonathan Collegio denies that anything was said about Cruz, Lee, or the Tea Party. However he did admit that the call did take place and that was “some discussion” concerning the government shutdown and the Senate Conservatives Fund. However, Collegio did not provide a transcript or recording of the call and McConnell’s office has made no comment on the matter.

Reid on Filibuster in 2008

In this video Reid claims that the Republicans were going to make the Senate just like the House of Representatives, when in fact the Progressive Movement accomplished that with the 17th Amendment nearly 100 years ago. Everything he accuses Republicans of is everything that Democrats are doing even as I type—a documented Alinski tactic. Reid is a bona fide despotic liar.

Podesta in 2005: Nuclear Option ‘Will Cause Lasting Damage to the Senate’

There is no altitude too low for Democrats. They will stoop to any level required to achieve their perverse purpose of total dominion—ensuring the serfdom of each and every American and extinguishing the flame of liberty. And apparently, the RINOs want to help them accomplish their goal.

Please sign the petition to retire Mitch McConnell.

Republicans Going After Republicans?

A washington-united-states-capitol-washington- photo

Opinion by AAABTonto:

I recently wrote “The Trick of Disaster” and in that article was a letter I received from Sen. Dan Coats explaining his vote to fund the government through Jan. 15th, 2014. A few short days after I posted that article, Senator Coats visited the Garrison Show to explain his position and his vote to end the Government shutdown. In this interview Coats complains about the criticism being pointed at Republicans and himself stating that he takes offense that anyone would accuse him of not “fighting” against ObamaCare:

Interview: Garrison with Sen. Coats10-24 (audio)

Alright, Senator Coats, you made your case, but I think you have misunderstood the response that you received. Now, I have some questions for you. You took umbrage at the accusations made against you and the Republicans you voted with, so how do you think the Tea Party feels when the GOP belittles them?

“Why are we tearing Republicans apart?”

Sinister Obama 1

Good question, Senator Coats; that is exactly what I and other conservatives—Tea Party persons, would like to know. The Tea Party did all of the heavy lifting and carried the water for the Republican Party in 2010. As a reward we were denied a platform at the RNC and then blamed for Mitt Romney’s loss in the 2012 election—it was Karl Rove’s failure. You see, he continues to claim that Republicans cannot win without the precious votes of the moderate independents–the undecided, but he has forgotten his base!

Republicans aren’t going to win elections by patronizing a select portion of the electorate—moderates. Moderates don’t even have any core principles on which to base their opinions. The middle is not some lofty perch from which one finds some superior perspective; in fact it is a good place to get run over.

roadkill 2

Meanwhile, Karl Rove and the ruling class Republicans are ignoring and insulting their base! Karl Rove has either lost his mind or, more likely, he doesn’t really want to implement any meaningful change. I think he would rather preserve his beltway buffet of privilege and to hell with the little people in fly-over-country!

The Tea Party is on your side, Senator!

Are you on their side or do you throw in with the beltway, establishment Republicans in the Karl Rove club?

You claim the “public was against you” after because of the shutdown, but it wasn’t the public against you—it was the main stream media(MSM). The MSM, et al., are not your constituents. The people of Indiana are who you need to be responding to—not the damnable propagandist machine of the Obama administration. The MSM is never going to say or report anything positive or objective about Republicans. They are complicit in the fraud that is the Obama administration.

You made the assertion that the strategy to “de-fund” ObamaCare was a failure and that your strategy was now working, but I never understood exactly what that strategy was? Except that you were going to “place more pressure on the Democrats that would cause them to lose reelection in 2014”; I don’t think that is much of a strategy. How can you pressure them if the MSM isn’t going to report their misconduct and your notations of it?

You said we needed a different tactic and made the connection that because you voted to end the shutdown, “Now the Democrats are coming our way.” They are? Why; because a few of them are now calling for a one year delay in the individual mandate? That was the House’ original proposal, but the Obama administration claimed that terrorist Tea Party sect of the Republican Party was holding the President’s signature legislation hostage—NOW, it’s a reasonable idea?

Letting ObamaCare fail or collapse under its own weight does not seem like much of a strategy to me. Whereas the House does, in fact, have the power of the purse and it is within John Boehner’s power to deny said funding. Originally, the House had asked for a one year delay in the individual mandate—but alas, boneless Johnny Boehner crumbled again and we are right back where we started.

The fact is that you didn’t need to vote to end the shutdown. You had a chance to tell Obama “no” and you didn’t take it. That bill didn’t need your support to pass, but you were afraid that if you didn’t endorse it the MSM would heap more derision upon you. Obama has assumed authorities he does not lawfully possess and the Republican Party has said almost nothing against him. Obama has divided the Republican Party with effortless ease and you have played right into his hand. We may need a new strategy, Senator, but first, you need to realize just who your enemy is and who your allies are.

“I resent anybody saying that Dan Coats doesn’t have the courage to stand up and support this kind of thing and he’s waved the white towel and surrendered.” I understand that completely, Senator; I resent the Republican Party’s dismissal of its conservative base.

“Why are Republicans attacking Republicans?” Conservatives want to know …

The Trick of Disaster

A statue of liberty up to her ears

Opinion by AAABTonto:

“It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice, if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood; if they be repealed or revised before they are promulgated, or undergo such incessant changes that no man who knows what the law is today can guess what is will be tomorrow.”
– James Madison, Federalist no. 62, February 27, 1788

I received a letter from Indiana Republican Senator, Dan Coats, explaining his vote to end the government shutdown:

Avoiding Default, Ending Government Shutdown

Dan CoatsLast night I voted for legislation to fund the federal government through January 15, 2014 and raise the debt ceiling through February 7, 2014. The bill passed the Senate 81 to 18, passed the House of Representatives late last night and has been signed into law by President Obama.

While I deplored supporting yet another short-term Band-Aid, the only thing worse would have been a continued government shutdown, the United States defaulting on its debt obligations and the elimination of the spending reductions enacted by Congress in 2011. To my great disappointment, once again Congress is kicking the can down the road and ignoring what needs to be done.

I have voted more than two dozen times to repeal and replace Obamacare with common-sense health care reforms. Unfortunately, the strategy of the past few weeks failed to sway the President or Senate Democrats on repealing this law. However, as we’ve seen from Obamacare’s disastrous rollout, this law’s failures are more than mere glitches, and the fight to repeal it must and will continue.

I returned to public service to make the difficult choices necessary to tackle our debt, restore our country’s fiscal footing, and repeal the President’s devastating health care law. I am deeply disappointed with this short-term result, but my commitment to reducing our debt, growing the economy and stopping Obamacare will not waver. I will be an integral part of the ongoing efforts to address these serious challenges.

I can understand your position, Senator Coats, but I still think you made the wrong decision. And now, those who voted as you did, are patting themselves on the back and claiming to have made an “adult decision by avoiding disaster with calm cool heads and compromise.” You had an opportunity to finally tell Obama “no” and once again you feared the result. Economic calamity would not have been a result thereof.

First off and above all else, this whole damn situation started with Republican House demands for a one year delay in the roll out of ObamaCare for individuals; the same delay businesses were granted—which, the President had NO authority to grant to begin with. He has granted over 1400 such exemptions and thus violated the law he is supposed to uphold the same number of times. Then, as the debt ceiling deadline approached, these two issues became wound up together and thus it was concluded that the evil, Neanderthal Tea Party was “holding America hostage” because the President is black.

Never mind the rule of law or the Constitution or parliamentary procedure or facts, according to the Left the Tea Party just wants “anarchy” and to spread hate and ill will throughout the land while they torture little babies and kill old people … is this that “new tone” Liberals promised us? how ’bout a cozy to hell?!

I am (and conservatives are) fed up with this ridiculous, insulting belligerence! The Left perpetually hammers fictional accusations and twisted statistics in order to heap blame upon their opposition. This recent government shutdown was no exception. Here are some of those accusations and the truth that the MSM refused to tell:

1. The shutdown was going to cause economic disaster and we dodged a bullet – This was entirely false—hell, the stock market was up just prior to the deadline. This was all about Obama’s demands to barrow more money on top of what he has already spent—$17 trillion. We have enough monthly revenue to pay our bills. We just need to stop spending money we do not have! Only 17% of the government was shut down and although those people employed by the govt. were not being paid at the time, they will all be paid including the time they were furloughed. It was, in essence, a paid vacation for them!

2. American citizens were staunchly united against the conservative wing of the GOPThe truth is that the American people never wanted ObamaCare to begin withnot a single Republican voted for it and all the House was asking for was a one year delay for individuals.

3. This was disastrous for the grassrootsThe Tea Party (“anarchist, terrorists, kidnapping, legislative arsonists, obstructionists”) are constitutional activists, liberty-loving individuals who simply want the Constitution and the rule of law observed. This is the hope of the MSM—that their propaganda will stifle the opposition against Obamacare and Obama’s out of control spending. I don’t think the Tea Party is just going to roll over because the Left wants them too.

4. This issue is problematic for the Republican presidential roster in 2016The Republicans haven’t even decided on who their frontrunner is going to be and I suspect that GOP is going to feel heavy pressure to select a true conservative and to turn away from the influences of the Karl Rove crowd. Choosing another moderate presidential candidate is going to spell extinction for the GOP.

5. The shutdown has destroyed GOP chances for the Senate in 2014The ObamaCare roll out has been a disaster and people are discovering that it is causing their premiums to skyrocket. The ACA website is a joke and there are rumors that the code they used to write it may have been pirated. The 2014 election is still more than a year away and Obamacare will have had time to be seen as the disaster the Tea Party warned everyone it would be. Those who opposed  ObamaCare will be seen to have been on the right side of this issue plus the debt ceiling and will be rewarded for doing so.

6. Ted Cruz will be relegated to the dustbin of historyI don’t think so. Ted has thrust himself to the front of the class because he has done what the GOP has refused to do since Reagan left office—stand for principle. The Left is, in fact, terrified of Ted Cruz.

7. The effort to de-fund ObamaCare was futileThe efforts of Cruz and Lee brought a new awareness to those who don’t usually pay attention to politics and despite all derision directed at them for having the audacity to question Obama’s monarchical genius, they have become heroes in the eyes of conservatives. They have forced the GOP to recognize their plight—whether or not they’ll alter their suicidal course remains to be seen.

8. The American people were furious about the government shutdownReally? When those Americans who are lucky enough to have a job get furloughed they do not receive any salary. They are forced to forfeit that income and I submit to you that the American people are resentful of the govt. workers privileged status in this regard. Furthermore they resented being shut out of the national parks, memorials and monuments their tax dollars have already paid for. In the case of the WW2 Memorial, which was paid for by private donations, the persecution of those veterans outraged the public!

MRC Study: How the Broadcast Networks Spun the Shutdown Obama’s Way

The problem is that the GOP is ignoring reality and its base—but not only ignoring their base they excoriate them, blaming them for things they have not done and don’t have the power to do—yet. The GOP is so afraid of the mainstream media that it dares not utter any criticism of the President, who is not only in need of criticism, but in need of being served an entire stack of subpoenas! The GOP has no other strategy than “moderation” which has failed repeatedly; the GOP needs to dump the advice of the Karl Rove crowd and pursue a path of principle and restore the Constitution.

Limbaugh: GOP Has Made A Decision Not To Exist

The GOP needs to find a new embrace of conservatism and begin confronting the President. Chris Cristie and Jeb Bush are NOT going to be a solution to the GOP’s fecklessness!

Why We’ll Keep Fighting Obamacare – Jim DeMint

Former Obama Official Warns Americans Opposed To Obamacare: “Back Off”…

Liberals become more shrill when they feel threatened—so let’s make them as insecure as we possibly can. Their hatred of America is all the ammunition we need. We just need to turn it back on them and hound them mercilessly with it.

Keep Your Chins Up, Conservatives

How dare the people oppose the POTUS?! Obama just won this battle over the shutdown and he is still unhappy. Then, straightaway, he came out and scolded the Republicans for allowing Cruz to defy him. He told us (paraphrased): “if we didn’t like a policy or the direction the country was going, then we needed to go out and win an election.” Well excuse me, Mr. President, your arrogance precedes you. Someone might remind you that that is exactly what Ted Cruz and Mike Lee did. They won elections and they are doing what they promised they would do for those who elected them.

Obama is supposed to be the most superior leader on the planet, yet he cannot articulate his position—he has to impose it. He does not know how to compromise because he has gotten his spoiled-ass way his entire life! He employs the MSM to go out and commit character assassinations and to pummel the public with propagandized disinformation. The “petulant ONE” knows the Tea Party isn’t going to go away and the GOP knows they aren’t going to go away as well. The Tea Party is a significant threat to the status quo inside the DC beltway and I draw sustenance from that fact.

Following the conclusion of the debt ceiling vote Obama immediately immediately began harping on immigration reform. He is already distracting us from all that happened and all the other things that the media should be focused on. The media must be confronted in the same manner that Obama should be confronted—by not accepting their flawed premises and forcing them off of their agenda.

The Tea Party needs to continue to occupy Obama’s head—rent free!

There’s No Racist Like a Liberal Racist

There’s no racist like a liberal racist

Al Sharpton White people are racist

Opinion by AAABTonto:

The accusative Progressive chorus that “conservatives are racist” is never-ending. It has rendered the GOP lip-locked and utterly terrified at the thought of criticizing Obama at a time when Liberty is suffering its most intense assault in the history of our country. Not responding to this salacious slander is, to the Progressive, tantamount to admission of guilt. Add the blame the GOP has heaped on the Tea Party only serves to embolden the Left further.

RUSH: Republicans Seeking To Get Rid Of Their Conservative Base

If the GOP has any hope for a future, it needs to stop attacking its base and start attacking the assailants of Liberty. Socialism has failed everywhere and every time it has been employed throughout the history of mankind. How many times does this need to be heralded?

Answer: for ever and ever!

H.L. Mencken“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos.”
– H.L. Mencken

Progressives seek to eliminate individualism. The individual is threatening to the collective—the state. They seek to modularize various groups of people (by race, class and sex) so they can stack them like toy blocks and thus fulfill their precious societal architecture. This is utterly un-American and it is the very substance of Obama’s “fundamental transformation.”

Ben Carson Warns: ‘Socialized Medicine Is Keystone to Establishment of a Socialist State’

Opinion by AAABTonto:

Washington, D.C. is 22 square miles surrounded by reality. I don’t think there is any other group in the world that is more detached from the truth than those who occupy our nation’s capitol. Now, I am not the brightest bulb on the tree nor the sharpest knife in the drawer, but the fundamental problem with Obama is his “fundamental transformation” of the greatest human experiment in the history of man—America.

His centerpiece for said transformation is the Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA); affectionately known as ObamaCare. Socialized medicine has been the goal of Progressives for nearly a century and even Ronald Reagan was steadfastly opposed to its implementation. This damnable piece of cheese was jammed through the legislative process via numerous and nefarious methods. While it was being promoted, the President promised us it was not a “tax,” not a single Republican voted for it, a majority of the people were against its implementation and once it was passed  and it made its way to the scrutiny of the Supreme Court, Justice Roberts “saved” its demise by declaring that it was a “tax”! Thank you, Justice Roberts …. What happened there? I wonder if he wasn’t blackmailed somehow, but I digress.

Lies of Obamacare

Everything that the President promised us regarding ObmaCare has turned out to be untrue—yes, LIES! And yes, I am calling the President a liar; because he lied. It is NOT because he happens to be black. I don’t care if he is mauve with orange pinstripes; he lied, he is lying and will probably continue to lie. ObamaCare is an unmitigated disaster!

Obamacare: Impact on Taxpayers

1 The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 will raise taxes on middle-income families in direct violation of President Obama’s pledge not to do so.
2 Many families that make far less than $250,000 a year have high-end health plans and will be subject to the excise tax.
3 The increased hospital insurance payroll tax rate will fund a new entitlement separate from Medicare for the first time.
4 Applying the HI tax to investment income will discourage investment and lead to slower economic growth, fewer jobs, and lower wages.
5 The individual mandate amounts to a de facto tax on individuals who do not want to purchase insurance.
6 The biggest tax hikes will take effect after President Obama’s first term and many Members of Congress are out of office.
7 The health legislation includes a myriad of smaller tax hikes, many of which will fall on middle- and lower-income Americans.

Ronald Reagan Speaks Out Against Socialized Medicine

This disaster is not any kind of of improvement on healthcare. In fact, it is a hindrance to obtaining healthcare. I wholly admit that there are problems with our healthcare system, especially from the insurance side of things. However, socializing medicine and erecting a bloated, vindictive bureaucracy to lord over and dispense healthcare is hardly an efficient method by which to streamline the industry. Issues with free market economics tend to repair themselves if given the opportunity, but socialist are opportunists and socializing medicine is the socialists on ramp to ultimate power.

Seniors Will Lose Big Under Obamacare

Obamacare’s Impact on Seniors

Take an aspirin and die. “There are no death panels,” yea right … This is redistribution at its most evil. Anyone with half a brain can understand that healthcare costs increase for all of us as we begin to age. Under this new system bureaucrats will determine who will get certain treatments based on a person’s age—the older you are the less efficient it is provide expensive procedures and thus our quality of life in old age is going to be diminished. Expenses will have to be curbed and distributed to those “most deserving.”

Obamacare: Impact on Seniors

A Thomas sowell quote graphic

How Much Is Your Health Insurance Going Up Thanks to Obamacare?

Liberty is lost. This all about the limitation of choice, which is ironic because the people who are in favor of ObamaCare are almost all “pro choice” when it comes to abortion. However, when it comes to choosing anything else you need to ask their permission first. So is the government’s healthcare website just an exchange or is it something more? Is it a personal information vacuum designed to collect data on citizens?

Top IRS ObamaCare Official Advised White House On Groups Challenging Contraception Mandate

The Left claims that healthcare is a right. Really? If it is a right, then why do they need to penalize us for not “exercising” our right? Do rights need to be enforced by the IRS? Their entire contention that healthcare is a right cannot stand up to logical scrutiny; it is an intellectual fraud. The whole thing is unconstitutional and they know it.

Alright, conservatives expect the persecution and derogatory drivel from Democrats, but we’re also receiving it from the ungrateful GOP. After several dozen symbolic bills to “repeal” the dreadful ObamaCare were passed by the House—only to be placed in Harry Reid’s morgue drawer for Republican legislation—boneless Johnny Boehner was finally persuaded to pull the plug on the funding of ObamaCare and asked the President to delay its implementation for one year—money for government spending is controlled by the House.

Obama, the ONE who waited for himself, threw an toddler’s temper tantrum and forced the shutdown of the government—well, 17% of it. Then promptly blamed the Tea Party for holding his beloved bill hostage and then began calling them “anarchists, legislative arsonists, terrorists with bombs strapped to their chests, kidnappers, extortionists …” and numerous other hateful, childish names. How erudite and sophisticated. Man, what a leader!

RINOs Strike Tea Party Over Shutdown

“It’s time for someone to act like a grown-up in this process,” former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu stated, laying blame at the feet of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Tea Party Republicans as much as President Barack Obama for their uncompromising stance. Sununu, Rove and the whole host of beltway RINO elitists fault the Tea Party for their own failed strategies. They believe the media when they tell them that the GOP’s problem is their nasty base—the Tea Party. They think that trying to de-fund ObamaCare is going to make them look bad, that anything we might do to oppose Obama will cause the Republican Party shame. The media NEVER says anything favorable about Republicans unless they have forfeited some core conservative belief. When will Republicans come to realize this fact?

LeviConfronts Sen. Ron Johnson on Obamacare

More Conservative, Less Republican

The truth is that these RINOs don’t want to upset their beltway buffet of privilege. They don’t want to effect any political change or reduce the size of our bloated government. They just want to be in control of it themselves. They claim that they need to control the White House and both houses of congress in order to effect change, but the last time they had all three legs of the stool, they just spent more taxpayer dollars and increased the girth of the government’s bloated bureaucracies. They don’t care to defend their own constituents or their own country from the clutches of socialism? Apparently …
